Amy Week 5 Day 1 – A New Beginning

I did not post yesterday, partially because I overate and didn’t really want to write about it. We did not have any ripe or frozen bananas so I was not in my routine anymore. In fact, for the past two days I did not eat well at all. Hopefully this did not do too much damage and I can get right back on track.
I didn’t eat any junk food the past two days, but the white pasta has really thrown me through a loop. Not having green smoothies made my cravings go crazy! I really need to get myself back into a groove before I get too far out of control.
Breakfast- A mango Naked Juice.
Lunch – Left over pasta with salad and bleu cheese salad dressing. Plus a slice of homemade bread with butter. Yes, I was finishing it up. Won’t be having any more white pasta for a long time.
Dinner – 3 eggs on toast.
Tomorrow Jaron and I are going to have nothing but smoothies for a week and see how we feel. It should be quite an interesting experiment .
Funny you should say that. I am on the first day of smoothies and just had my lunch smoothie and am already sick of them. lol

I wholeheartedly agree with Elizabeth. I think limiting yourself to just smoothies is setting yourself up to binge. I remember years ago trying Slim Fast and I got tired of having those shakes every single day. I remember you saying at one time that you both were going to follow the New Mediterranean Diet, which is actually the South Beach Diet. I would strongly encourage it! You can see how it has paid off for Elizabeth and I. Having a variety of different foods to eat is a lifesaver.
Remember that this is a LIFESTYLE change. Take it one day at a time. You guys have done great so far. “Falling off the wagon” is normal and happens. If you fall off at one meal, make it up on the next one. You and Jaron can do this! We love you both and believe in you! Tell Jaron that it is looking as though you will not have to cut a hole in your wall after all to get me through the front door.
Amy, don’t be too hard on yourself. I have found that having a variety of different foods have helped me. You don’t have to follow this advice, but you may want to reconsider ONLY having smoothies. You may feel tired of them quickly.
