Amy’s Lose Weight Weigh In Week 2 Day 1



We bought a new scale the other day at Sam’s Club, but since we originally started on Annette’s scale I thought i’d weigh myself on both for the challenge so I can keep better track of how the weight is coming off.

As you can probably tell, the first scale is the one we originally used at the start of the challenge and the 2nd scale is the new one.

There is a 1.5 lb difference for me between the two scales.

I am 22.7% body fat according to the official stats of my scale tonight. I like being able to track the body fat percentage in addition to just my weight. That way I can see progress is more area than one.

If I go by the 1st scale’s numbers I have lost 1.5 lbs, however I did this weigh in at night after dinner so I have probably lost a bit more than that.

  1. It has memory for 5 people. We input our gender, age & height. It calculates or weight and body fat from there when we step on the scale.

  2. I have seen handheld body fat calculators. It probably runs an electric current through your body to figure it out. That’s why you have to be barefoot. I was just wondering if it was that type of scale, or one that you had to manually put in your height (to figure out BMI). You made yourselves a nice purchase.

  3. I actually don’t know exactly. I know we have to use it barefoot or it wont work.

  4. How does your scale calculate fat percentage? I’m just curious.
