Annettes Week 10, Finally Feeling Better

It is day 3 of Week 10, I have been really sick since last Thurs, almost a week.  I have been fighting bronchitis, and finally have a grip on it.  I have been eating what I have been in the mood for, and I was craving comfort food on Monday and made some brownies, ate 2 of them.  I have been eating Taco soup as well, which has tasted pretty good.

I think my illness was prompted by my cleanse, drinking the master cleanse only, putting me into a toxic state too quickly.  I still think the master cleanse is a great thing to do, bit I need to do it in moderation next time.  Some people can handle it quite well, and I use to be able to a few years ago without any real problems. It is amazing to me how much your life changes when you don’t have your health.  Just having bronchitis kept me from working, enjoying my family, sleeping well, taking care of my home and myself, communicating with family and friends, attending church, you name it….it was hindered by being sick.  I think I have taken my health for granted too much of the time, not really placing the value it deserves, and making the sacrifices needed to sustain good health.  Is it worth the sacrifice?  You bet it is!  What is the point of getting up each day only to go back to bed because you are sick.

Today, because I am feeling better, I am paying more attention to what I am eating again.  I had two slices of toast for breakfast.

lunch: Hempshake, made with rice milk and frozen bananas.

Tonight I am going to a church meeting where dinner is served, so not sure what I will be eating there, but I will document it before I make this post.

Dinner:  Turkey, dressing, gravy, mashed potatoes and salad.  It was so yummy….then there was dessert, and I was picky, and chose one, and that was homemade hazelnut cheesecake.
