Elizabeth’s Week 4 Day 7

Food diary:
Meal 1: green smoothie (strawberries, banana, peach slices, spinach, flax seed, and almond milk), 3 turkey sausages
Meal 2: cheese stick
Meal 3: vegetable beef soup, salad (greens with avocado, tomato, cheese, and 1 tbs of ranch dressing), 1 cookie
Meal 4: Greek lemon chicken rice soup, 3″ sandwich (turkey, ham, cheese, with veggie works), 1 pickled egg w/ 4 mini pretzels, Diet Dr. Pepper
Dessert: one kid-size frozen yogurt with strawberries from Red Mango
Exercise: 3 miles on elliptical (41 min.)
Thoughts: One horrible thing about being a heavier person and exercising is the fact that heat rashes are inevitable. I have really bad ones on each side of my inner legs, and they HURT! I’ve tried A & E ointment, talcum powder, and Lanolin (stuff for cracking nipples). I’m thinking Butt Paste is next! Any ideas anyone?
It felt like we didn’t eat very much today in relation to the rest of the week. We did have some carbohydrates that are higher on the glycemic index, so maybe that’s a good thing. Even though we treated ourselves a little today, it didn’t feel excessive, nor did it feel like we cheated. I was sitting next to a table with all sorts of goodies on it for over an hour and only had one cookie! That is progress.
